Uhuru Holiday Pies - Oakland, CA
Help Bake
Uhuru Pies is a project of
the African People’s Solidarity Committee to give all of us an
opportunity to build solidarity with the movement of African working
people for self-determination, reparations and justice. Hundreds of
families, individuals, student groups and businesses support the Uhuru
Movement: baking, selling and buying pies.
Uhuru Holiday Pies are baked collectively by volunteers. No experience is necessary! You can bake on a shift with your friends and family. We are looking for both experienced and beginning bakers. Mix large vats of pie filling, fill the pie shells, make and and fill boxes and label mountains of pies!
This season, Uhuru Pies will be prepared in the Artisan Kitchen at 865 Marina Bay Parkway, Richmond, CA. To volunteer, sign up here or call Bill at 510-759-8154.
